The following notice was printed in the Arizona Daily Star. Based on this notice, the meeting is tonight, January 17th at 7:00 P.M.
As I see in this release, there is no mention of our right to self-defense and the arming of pilots and civilians as another tool in fighting terrorisms against Americans.
Also noted was that one of the participants is the UA Young Socialists. There take on this should be interesting.
Anyway, thought I would let you know in case you have absolutely nothing to do and would like to attend and participate, giving the ACLU another take since they are inherently anti-self defense.

Civil liberties forum set
The Arizona Civil Liberties Union will co-host a public forum to dicuss constitutional freedoms in the wake of the Sept. 11 atacks.
The panel discussion, which is free and open to the public, will be tonight at 7 in the Ares Auditorium of the University of Arizona College of Law, East Speedway and North Mountain Avenue.
Some of the issues the forum will discuss include the U.S. government's expansion of surveillance, wiretapping and detention abilities to fight terrorism and the creation of military tribunals to try terror suspects.
A panel of legal experts, student activists and a representative from an Arab-American anti-discrimination group will take part in the forum, which is also sponsored by the Derechos Humanos Coalition and the UA Young Socialists.
